Teledentistry in Dental x-ray: dental x-rays are diagnostic tools that helps dentist to detect or view or identify in detail and diagnose oral diseases and conditions and there are several types:
Teledentistry in Dental X- Rays:
- Extraoral Digital Panoramic X-Ray: the dentist can see the entire general oral health (teeth and tissues) with just an image.
- Extraoral Lateral Cephalometric X-Ray: used for orthodontic or orthognathic surgery to evaluate the relation of the teeth to the jaws.
- Extraoral CBCT (Cone Bone Computer Tomography) or Dental Scan: is 3D x-ray that helps evaluate in detail for teeth development, teeth restoration or surgical issues (dental implants, extraction, and orthognathic surgery).
- Intraoral Periapical X-Ray: evaluate the surrounding bone, tissue and the periapical area of a single tooth.
- Intraoral Bite – Wing X-Ray: evaluates mainly the interdental caries when are not easily visible.
- Intraoral Occlusal X-Ray: evaluate the tooth status and tooth development.
- Intraoral Full Mouth X-Ray: is a set of 14 intraoral periapical x-ray for evaluating teeth and the periapical tissues
